The committee will wait until T. Callahan returns for ARC visit. History of trees: J. Kelly mentioned that at the time wetland tree removal was approved there were some other trees in questions. Snowbird owners have now returned. Joe Kelly was asked to be present when the ARC makes its visit to refresh committee members on past discussion. Trees have been marked as requested; all neighbors have been notified and approved. Visit and decision will be made within 2 weeks
Note: Argyle Lane, across from maintenance shed, has significant tree removal by individuals who are not under SBCA is of concern to local residents. R. Kraft suggested an informative letter may be sent to the individual property owners even though they are not members of the SBCA.

New Business:
What/ Whom will speak at the Village Presidents’ meeting.
Aven to speak on behalf of the ARC at the Village Presidents’ meeting. It was decided that a workshop is needed to discuss policies under consideration re work in common areas. There was also a reminder that the Village Presidents are to bring their concerns to this meeting. No questions and answers will be entertained at this open workshop meeting, Monday May 23rd at 3PM .
Village ARC Common area tree/view maintenance application.
SBCA ARC wants to ensure that the common areas changes that affect anyone including members of the specific village are approved by the Village Boards, but the SBCA ARC is still going to be the final arbiter with the matter. Neighboring villages need to be aware of what is happening in other village common area. If the Declarant is doing things in the common area: developer easement allows them to beautify and/or develop areas that border completed villages. Committee will provide input to L. Colasurdo re preliminary rough draft.
Member concern about the selling of lumber from common area.
Sale of trees in common area was questioned. It appears that most of the trees cut were on private property and the owners have the right to sell them. ARC approved all the trees on the owner’s property.
Roy Kraft would like to see the SBCA (Board perhaps) have a look at their common area where the trees are hanging and waiting to fall (LP4, LPV1 and common area of SBCA property.)
Rationale for having a permit process for things like repainting house the same color.
To ensure that nothing is objectionable to neighbors or the Village. To let neighbors know that work will be done and contractors will be onsite. This is a safeguard and the authority has been delegated to the Village ARC.
Other business:
Larry Elton re. dead trees on Teal Lake Rd – OT does not wish for them to be touched. B. Schafer stated her Village ARC wants a re-plant plan on record and put some stipulations together should Woodridge decide to apply for tree cutting / tree topping permit again. There is enough damage done; let the re-growing trees start to fill in. Contingencies are in place; it has been mutually agreed to leave as is.– a reminder of how bad tree-topping can be.
Meeting adjourned 9:55 a.m.
Next meeting: June 15th.
