New Applications: 07-102 LPV-4-Lawson-add 2nd story on garage
No view is being obscured, the house is already two stories. Original architect is the architect doing the addition, roof lines etc will tie into main roof lines. Earthquake and wind loading codes have influenced the design of the addition as a result of the permit submitted to Jefferson County. Discussion ensued re setback line, the upper portion of the addition will match the lower notched area and the upper eave line will follow the existing eave line. Owner submitted a copy of drawings for SBCA ARC file. This permit will be granted, and six months given for to completion. Copy of the county permit will be submitted to the SBCA ARC. approved

New Business: Bayview Village issues: Letter from Syd Hatch re trees. Aven will respond, citing some documents to support the ABCA ARC point of view.
Email from Bob Pardis re tree permit held up accidentally in Bayview; tree is not trimmable, according to arborist. It must either be cut or left alone. Permit will be filed for tree cutting. .
In Bayview, they have compiled a comprehensive report by certified arborist Richard Hefley with some very specific recommendations on how to proceed. Al Thiede will circulate a letter soon to the entire village for comments to aid in planning future work.
Discussion: Village ARC Common area tree/view maintenance application
A draft (date May 21) compiled on common area/ tree / view maintenance permit needs to be resent to committee members who will review via email and bring in suggested changes to next meeting. Final approval will still rest with the SBCA ARC, but all the determinations and rulings will be formulated and approved by the village ARC. Jefferson County will require $153 fee for reviewing the applications for work done in critical area’s within each Villages common area or private lot. A possible ten year plan could be approved by the County if maintenance work will stay consistent with what was first applied for with the County, but the SBCA ARC will require regular permits throughout the ten years for any work on lots or common areas.
Maintenance of empty lot
Roy Kraft will ask Bill Stoner to write a Village ARC letter to the owner re empty lot on Driftwood Court. Wildflower Landscaping has indicated that the owners do not wish to do more work on Driftwood Court. There is a concern from neighbors re noxious weeds and fire hazards.
Criteria for extending a permit:
The SBCA ARC needs come up with clearer criteria for extending permits. How long should extensions be? How many extensions will we approve? How do we enforce a slow moving project that continues to need extensions? Can someone apply for an extension of a permit after it has expired, or do they need to submit a new application?
