Main topics discussed were to keep the courts operable and in good shape
Reservations would be on a first come/first serve basis; however, if anyone wants to
Reserve a court; they should do so by calling Deanna Richards. The Racquet Club
Has first priority. There would be a limit of one hour of playing, if others were
waiting.
Review Maintenance Plan:
Ralph Stearns has agreed to be point man
Mike Morgan will have the courts blown off once a week (Wed) unless it is raining.
They would then be blown off the following day. Clint will put up a sign-off sheet
For the maintenance to sign off on after he blows off the courts.
The courts should be washed once a year with a solution of 1 part of
bleach and 4 parts of water. The next washing should be in the spring. Clint will get
input from Don Gersthmer regarding this matter.
There will be another annual maintenance party in late April or early May
Discussed Potential Court Improvement Projects: (In order of importance)
1. Tree removal – Need professional to do the work. Clint will look into getting a
Cost estimate. This would be financed by SBCA and change will hopefully take place next
Year. Our lease extends to property 15 ft. beyond the fence and any tree removal work would have to be co-coordinated with the golf course. There could be a problem with loose rock in the corner and a shield may need to be installed to hold the rock back.
2. Other – The possibility of getting power to the sight was discussed – Jim will
Look into the possibility of getting either one of two power plugs with
110 voltages.
The possibility of digging a drainage trench around the courts and
Installing PVC pipes was discussed. Jim will look into this.
3. Parking Lot – on hold
4. Bathrooms – on hold
